Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. With at least two music teachers for most instruments, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. Our teachers are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lesson.

  3. We have a wide range of music lesson times.

We have lessons available Monday - Friday until 9 PM.  We have teachers who teach day lessons for home-school students and adults.  We may even be able to accommodate Saturday lessons if needed.

  4. Free music recitals in quality performance auditoriums.

Each May our students have the option of performing in our recitals.  Students are not required to perform, but most choose to.  Every parents wants to know if their student is really progressing.  The best way to find out if music lessons are really worth the investment is to have them perform in a student recital.

  5. We offer a Convenient and Safe Location for learning.

VMA is located in the lower level of Grace Lutheran Church in Waynesboro.  We are conveniently located next door to the Waynesboro Public Library and just a block away from the Waynesboro YMCA.  Many of our families will have one student at the Y, another in the library and another at VMA for music.

Our facility is monitored by security cameras throughout.  All of our studios can be viewed from the hallway.  Each of our faculty and staff undergo a thorough background check before working with VMA.  In addition, we offer a waiting area for parents with free Wi-Fi, or parents are always welcome to sit in on a lesson.

  6. VMA is a non-profit organization.

Because we are a non-profit, our prices are generally less than anyone else around for comparable quality.  You may find an individual who charges less, but seldom will you find everything that VMA offers in one location at a college preparatory level.

  7. We offer financial assistance to those who demonstrate need and a desire to succeed.

You won't find this with any local music store or studio.  Scholarships are available from September - May and are based on financial need.  Students up to age 18 may apply annually.  For more information, visit our financial aid page.

  8. Month to month lessons.

At VMA you can begin lessons at any time of the year.  We have a 4 month minimum for new students and you can discontinue lessons at any time with a 30-day notice.  We also offer the convenience of pre-paying for the entire semester in advance and receive a discount by doing so.

  9. Convenient payment options.

VMA offers convenient payment by credit card in our office, on our website and we can also set you up for month auto-pay and we'll debit your card each month.  If you still prefer the old fashion way of writing a check or paying in cash, we can accommodate that as well.

  10. We are an award winning provider of the premier early childhood music program, Musikgarten.

VMA has received national recognition for our Musikgarten program since 2013.  Our certified instructors will take your child from 3 months to 9 years of age and teach them music as a second language.  Using song, dance, instruments, games and more, your children will learn to love music from the earliest stages of their development.  Many of our students at VMA started with Musikgarten as babies and are now advanced musicians.

  11. Every age.  Every ability.  Whatever your goals, we're there for you.

Since 2000, VMA has seen thousands of students go through our doors each week.  From small children to senior adults, and every age in between, VMA has helped thousands of people reach their goals.  Many of our students have gone on to college on scholarships as music majors and are now teaching music themselves.  Many of our students are adults who want to learn, or re-learn to play an instrument, or just sing a little bit better.  Whatever your goal, we have helped thousands, and we can help you.
